I chose “grace” as my word for 2021. To me, this word is more of a reflection than a resolution.
It holds the meaning of the grace of God that I don’t deserve; the same grace that gives me new purpose every morning; the grace that changed my life fully and forever.
It encourages me to reflect this grace to other people, showing understanding and humility, openness and love as I listen to their stories and learn from their opinions and experiences.
It reminds me to show grace to myself, in the understanding that I’m neither perfect nor in control, but I serve a God who is both.
